The Oberortlhof is located at an altitude of approx. 800m at the entrance to the Schnals Valley, directly below Juval Castle. A first documentary mention of the historic farm can be found already in 1331. Simon Messner and his girlfriend Anna are currently renovating the farm. The farm, which is under ensemble protection, offers a quiet retreat from the fast-paced everyday life, but is also a great starting point for museum visits, walks along the Waal, hikes, climbing tours, bike tours and much more. On the farm are sheep, pigs, donkeys and horses and hopefully soon again chickens.
