Corals under the microscope: Workshop at the Natural History Museum (in German)

|

About the event

On Tuesday, November 28, adults and teenagers aged 12 and above can take a closer look at corals at the South Tyrol Museum of Natural History.
Corals are known as the architects of the oceans. They are made up of countless polyps that, in symbiosis with tiny algae, build vast coral reefs. These fascinating creatures can be observed under the microscope during the workshop "The World Under the Microscope: Corals". Participants will learn how corals feed, what their tentacles look like, and how they use their “secret weapons.” Additionally, they will be able to identify the algae living in symbiosis with the corals and providing them with nourishment.

The participation fee is 12 euros.
