About Farm Yard Gostnerhof

Gostnerhof farm in Barbian is on the sunny side of the Eisack river valley. Guests can enjoy savouring original Eisack valley farmhouse fare amidst colourful vineyards beneath the rays of the autumn sun. Two cosy farmhouse parlours invite guests to sit and get stuck into some delicious culinary treats. We have a large children’s playground for kids to play around in.

Speck', 'Kaminwurzen' smoked sausages, cheese, home-baked bread, barley soup or 'Schlutzer' spinach and ricotta ravioli, meat platter with house sausage and cabbage, chestnuts. To order: cheese gnocchi, various soups, spinach, 'Speck' or buckwheat dumplings, mutton, farm pan roast, potato pancakes, apple strudel, cakes and 'Krapfen' fried pastries. In spring, nettle dumplings, chicory, roast veal and farm brunch. Cordials: raspberry, elderflower and apple.

The 2021 Müller Thurgau is a very uncomplicated wine with clear apple notes on the palate. The 2021 Vernatsch displays aromas of red berry and fiery acidity. The 2020 Pinot Noir is spicy, balsamic and fiery.
