Thara Seelounge

Situated directly on a small pond in Kematen in the Pustertal Valley, the Thara Seelounge restaurant, a modern curved building made of glass and wood, invites you to enjoy a cozy stay. The Seelounge is a very popular meeting place, and not only a fine restaurant, but also the perfect place for a leisurely Sunday brunch or a stop for coffee and cake. Not to forget the possibility to rent the Thara Seelounge also for bigger events.

You can fish in the pond, so it is only logical that sport fishermen meet here on the sunny terrace of the Thara Lounge for a refreshing drink. For those who like to move a bit more, there are several possibilities for tours on foot or by bike in the surrounding area. But finally, walkers and families meet again here at the Thara Seelounge and enjoy a good cappuccino, homemade cake or an ice cream sundae, while the kids let off steam at the playground and have plenty of space to play. The sport encompasses athletics, dynamics and fun and it's popular for young and old. The covered wooden terrace offers plenty of space on balmy summer evenings, and should it get a bit chilly, you can retreat to the stylish premises. Fresh, Mediterranean and special are the dishes that guests will find on the restaurant's menu. Perfectly seasoned and often seasonal, pasta dishes, fish and meat here are a real treat for the palate. Cold marenden platters, snacks or for afternoons homemade cakes are also very popular at Thara.

From May to September every Sunday there is a brunch on the lakeside which is very popular and always well attended. For festivities and various events, the restaurant staff will be happy to prepare buffets with small bites and exquisite delicacies.

Whether you sit in the evening in the pleasant, modernly designed dining room or on the idyllic terrace, the ambience in the Selelounge is quiet and unique. The view over the pond and the adjacent grassy area is good for the eye. There are also tables and garden furniture here in the grass, which mothers and fathers in particular like to occupy, as you can keep a good eye on the frolicking children from here.
