Herbs - An all-round cure-all
In the herb gardens of lots of farmhouses in South Tyrol you will find marjoram, dill, mugwort, rosemary and numerous other herbs. They are turned into fragrant mixtures, tasty herbal salt or herbal teas under the 'Red Rooster' brand name. The herbs used do not only have to be grown in accordance with organic farming directives and guidelines for medicinal plants and kitchen herbs, but also, most importantly, have to be harvested at just the right moment. As soon as they have been picked, the fresh herbs undergo a delicated drying process with temperatures of no more than 40° in order to conserve the typical intense aroma characteristic of 'Red Rooster' products.
