About Buschenschank Wieslerhof
The Wieslerhof is located in a calm and solitary place above Postal, offering you an enchanting view over Val D’Adige. The first written testimony of the hut goes back as far as 1369. The hut, already back then, belonged to the Kofler and had been in its possession for the last three generations.
The hut is an ideal place for winegrowing, thanks to its red porphyry soil and its sun kissed slope. Red wines grow in abundance at the Wieslerhof (Schiava, Pinot Nero, Zweigelt) as well as white wines (Müller Thurgau, Pinot Bianco, Sauvignon, Kerner).
What’s more, they also grow apples (Golden Delicious), chestnuts, plums, figs, cherries and other fruit. The owners make refreshing juices which can be purchased at the hut itself. Grape must is an autumn favourite during the preparation of chestnuts, as well as chestnuts, of course. You can taste traditional dishes at the Wieslerhof and homemade cakes.
Selection of the menu
- Barley soup, pancake soup and cream of pumpkin soup (in winter)
- Liver sausage, home made sausages and blood sausage with sour cabbage (in winter)
- Smoked pork ribs and chops (in winter)
- "Schlachtplatte" (mixed meat, sausages, ribs) with sour cabbage and dumplings (in winter)
