Was the term ‘summer resort’ born in Colle? Well, that doesn’t really matter, because everyone that leaves the sweltering heat of Bolzano in summer in direction of Colle will feel revitalised after just a few minutes.
The world’s first suspension cable car has been running since 1908 from Bolzano up to Kohlern. Even then the local proud merchants of South Tyrol’s trading capital valued the tranquility and feeling of well-being up here. The sunny veranda is the heart of the house and offers fine dining and breathtaking views. Beautiful shady seats lie under lime trees where lunch is served on warmer days. The only 16 rooms are in a nostalgic liberty style. After a trip to town, or a refreshing walk through cool woods, relax and revive yourself in the hotel swimming pool and sauna.
