The benign Mediterranean climate permits bathing from May through to September and there are many magnificent lakes suitable for swimmers in the immediate vicinity. Sports enthusiasts, walkers and cyclists will not be disappointed. The surrounding mountains provide plenty of challenges for mountain bikers.
