Adolf and Helene Volgger laid the first stone of their guesthouse in 1973; just one year later the Gassenhof was inaugurated. Many of the hotel guests have come back regularly over the years as well as new visitors to what had originally been a guesthouse; in1982 works took place to extend, renovate and refurbish the hotel and in 1994 a large extension brought considerable changes. With a 40-year tradition the Hotel Gassenhof satisfies the needs of its guests as successfully as ever.
