Holiday Farm Costiolu
The authentic Holiday farm Costiolu is situated in the middle of the rocky Barbagia plateau in Lardine, not far from the towns of Orune and Bitti, in the north of the province of Nuoro. If you want to discover rural Sardinia, dominated by sheep farming, then you have come to the right place.
The Costa brothers run the farm with passion, with barns, stables, accommodation for 20 guests and a small campsite. The farm also has large pastures where donkeys, horses, goats and sheep graze and where children will also have fun.
A total of ten comfortable rooms in the main house can accommodate 20 guests. Four of them are equipped with their own bathroom, the other bathrooms are shared with another room. If you prefer a more adventurous holiday, you can stop at the nearby campsite with your caravan or tent.
In the cosy dining room, typical Sardinian specialities and farm products such as cheese, ham and delicious wine are served and can often be enjoyed in the company of the owners.
Nature lovers as well as culture lovers will feel at home here. The wild and romantic mountain landscape invites you to hike, ride a horse or explore in an off-road vehicle. The nuraghic sites of Su Costiolu and Sant'Effisi, the fountain sanctuary of Su Tempiesu in Orune, the Museum of Arts and Crafts in Bitti, the Archaeological Museum in Nuoro and the Mask as well as the Carnival Museum in Mamoiada are worth a visit. If you like the beach and the sea, you can reach the beaches of the Gulf of Orosei in about an hour by car.
