Suite and Breakfast: a new concept of hospitality surrounded by an island of colourful, sweet-smelling tranquillity. Located in the charming spa town of Merano, in the mountainous northeast of Italy, Ottmanngut is a lovely old country residence with a tradition for making guests feel at home. The house currently offers nine spacious, well-appointed rooms, each with its own distinct personality, a luminous breakfast room that opens directly onto the magnificent garden, and various areas for sitting, reading, conversing or simply dreaming. Original antiques abound, but also surprising touches of modernity: the elegant solidity of the late 1700s, the self-confidence of the Biedermeier style, the harmonious fluidity of Jugendstil; and here and there select items of contemporary design. Drawn by the mild climate and verdant surroundings, visitors have long appreciated the spiritual and physical balm that comes with the right balance of welcome and wellbeing.
