Immersed in an atmosphere of tranquility and ideally located for woodland and garden walks, hiking in the mountains or relaxing in the town's renowned thermal baths, this renovated and well-maintained hotel offers everything for a perfect vacation.In an area of churches, castles, leafy promenades and historic mansions and villas, this particular little enclave was once a favourite holiday destination of Empress Elizabeth (Sissi) of Austria who came for the mild winter climate, hiking in the sun-kissed Dolomites, the ever-blooming gardens and the rejuvenating spa waters. Since those days nothing much has really changed and Merano is still a vibrant centre of intriguing local culture, festivals, parks, gardens, wide promenades and idyllic scenery.The Alpine vistas and views of the town can be well appreciated from one of the Salvatorian hotel's balcony rooms. The guestrooms are simply but thoughtfully furnished and well-appointed with large, modern ensuite bathrooms and Wi-Fi throughout.A full, hearty breakfast is available each day and a three course meal is served in the evening. Much of the produce used is cultivated by the nuns. Half-board is available if required.
