2nd Rittersteig Run – from Kardaun to Steinegg

As the evening sun slowly disappears behind the mountains and temperatures become perfect for running, it’s time to lace up your shoes and get going! The 2nd Rittersteig Run offers you a unique sporting experience along one of the most scenic routes between Kardaun|Cardano and Steinegg|Collepietra.



The race starts at 7:00 PM at the festival ground in Kardaun|Cardano. From there, the route leads along the varied Rittersteig trail up to the primary school in Steinegg|Collepietra, where the finish line awaits. Over a distance of 7.5 km, you will tackle 690 metres of elevation gain – a real challenge rewarded with stunning views and a memorable running experience.



After the race, the atmosphere turns relaxed and social: look forward to enjoying pasta together, the award ceremony, and a raffle with great prizes at Gasthof Unterwirt.

Registration: online at Rittersteig Run 2026 registration (no on-site registration possible)



Race number pick-up: 6:00 – 6:45 PM at the festival ground in Kardaun|Cardano



Participation: from 18 years, medical sports certificate required



Entry fee: €25 (incl. pasta, award ceremony & raffle)



Participant limit: max. 150 people



For your comfort, everything is well organised: you can leave your luggage at the start, and it will be transported directly to the finish in Steinegg|Collepietra. There, changing rooms and showers are available.



Tip: park your car in Steinegg|Collepietra and take the public bus at 6:00 PM to Kardaun|Cardano.

Alternatively, you can use the shuttle service (€5) to return to the starting point in Kardaun|Cardano.
