CANCELLED! 37. Val Casies Mountain Pasture Festival

About the event
Unfortunately, the Val Casies Mountain Pasture Festival has been cancelled due to heavy snowfall and chilly temperatures. This decision was very difficult for the participating associations, but the safety and well-being of everyone are our top priorities. We look forward to welcoming you again next year!
Every year in September, the traditional Gsieser Almhüttenfest (Val Casies Mountain Pasture Festival) takes place in the Val Casies Valley, a highlight that attracts many hiking enthusiasts every year. The festival takes place alternately in the villages of Colle, S. Martino or S. Maddalena to give the many visitors the opportunity to get to know the numerous alpine pastures and the mountain world of the Val Casies Valley. This year the associations of Colle organise the traditional 37° Val Casies Mountain Pasture Festival on the Gallfallalm in San Martino. Starting point: S. Martino/village centre. The festival begins at 10.30 am. with a Holy Mass. In the characteristic alpine huts, various local dishes are served. Stausee (Reservoir): Volunteer fire brigade with spear ribs with potato salad and "Apfelstrudel" with vanilla sauce. Schäferalm: Sports club with Alpenburger and "Kaiserschmarrn". Leachalm: Farmers‘ youth and farmers with barley soup and Tirtlan, sweats and coffee. Schenker Hütte: Schützenkapelle with homemade Schlutzkrapfen and Strauben and coffee. Blasla Hütte: Club "Gsieser Natur- und Kulturverein" with "Hittnpfandl" and "Linzer" with cream. Jogler Hütte: Church choir with "Erdepflblattlan" with cabbage and typical sweets. Rustic folk music & children programme. Performance of the "Gaslkrocha" of Tesido. A unique and unforgettable celebration to end the summer in Val Casies Valley.
