Film in Italian: Return to Dust

In the extremely poor province of Gansu, in north-western China, close to the border with Mongolia, Guiying and Youtie are now of a certain age, and their respective families do not know what to do with two such lonely souls other than try to bring them together in marriage. Amidst the desert dunes, the couple and their little donkey settle in one of those shacks that the government is trying to demolish. The pair, however, are resourceful and set to work building a home and a farming life worthy of the name.
