Film in Italian: Ritratto della giovane in fiamme

France, 1770. Marianne, a painting artist, is asked to paint a wedding portrait of Héloise, a young woman who has just left the convent. However, Héloise does not wish to marry and therefore refuses to sit for the portrait. Marianne then tries to observe her so that she can still fulfil her commission. In doing so, she will discover many things about herself as well.
