About the production: In this musical, the music of Slavko Avsenik's legendary Oberkrainer is incorporated into a comedy; unforgettable melodies and songs such as ‘Franz der Maurerg'sell’ - ‘Hinterm Hühnerstall’ - ‘Auf der Autobahn’ - ‘Glocken der Heimat’ and many other evergreens will accompany the plot of this witty and rustic theatre piece. This folk musical is based on the well-known old Bavarian comedy ‘Amerikaseppl’, whereby the title character becomes the hilarious ‘Franz von Oberkrain’, who is at the centre of a turbulent story. Well-known singing actors are on stage, professional musicians form the Oberkrainer quintet.
