LANA | MUSIC | FESTIVAL 2026 - Cantate Domino
About the event
The parish church of Niederlana becomes the setting for an atmospheric evening dedicated to sacred Baroque music. The concert Cantate Domino brings together renowned musicians and outstanding soloists for a performance that celebrates the expressive power of early music.
Performing on stage is the ensemble Meranbaroque, founded in 2003 by musician and conductor Stephan Kofler. The ensemble’s members have gained international experience in leading early music groups and have performed in famous concert halls around the world, including Carnegie Hall in New York, Oji Hall in Tokyo and the Musikverein in Vienna. Their performances follow historical performance practice, using original instruments or faithful copies to recreate the authentic sound of the Baroque era.
Joining the ensemble are three distinguished soloists:
Alexa Mairhofer (soprano), specialised in Renaissance and Baroque vocal music;
Lucia Napoli (alto), a highly acclaimed interpreter of Baroque repertoire who performs in major concert halls and festivals worldwide;
and Mauro Borgioni (baritone), known for his collaborations with leading orchestras and ensembles dedicated to early music.
Together they present a programme that connects voices and instruments, spirituality and musical artistry. In the unique atmosphere of the historic church, Baroque music unfolds with depth, elegance and emotional intensity.
An inspiring concert evening for everyone who appreciates sacred music, historical sound culture and the special experience of live performance.
