About the event

The Wolf Within

On February 5, the Museum of Natural Sciences will screen a film dedicated to wolf conservation in Europe, produced by the association IoNonHoPauraDelLupo in collaboration with Patagonia. Admission is free.

Directed by Federico Manneschi and set against the Italian landscapes of the Alps and the Apennines, The Wolf Within delves into the complex relationship between humans and wolves. The film portrays the resilience of both local communities and the wolves themselves, exploring the necessity of coexistence in the modern era. Through intimate storytelling and evocative imagery, the film highlights the fragility of nature and the urgent need to protect it.

The screening will take place on Thursday, February 5, at 6:00 p.m. at the South Tyrol Museum of Natural Sciences. The film was presented together with Patagonia on the occasion of the 45th anniversary of the Bern Convention. Francesco Romito, Vice President of the association IoNonHoPauraDelLupo, will introduce the film, provide context, and lead a discussion with the audience after the screening. Romito is a volunteer involved in monitoring large carnivores for MUSE and the Autonomous Province of Trento, collaborates with the Wolf Monitoring Network of the Veneto Region and with other authorities responsible for monitoring the species in the Eastern Alps. He works in communications, including visual communication as a photographer.
