Patrocinium of St. Maria Maddalena

On Monday, July 22, 2024, the patrocinium of St. Maria Maddalena will take place at 10:00 a.m. in the idyllic chapel garden of Hocheppan Castle. The solemn Holy Mass will be celebrated by H.E. Rev. Ma. Luigi Bressan, Archbishop Emeritus of Trento, accompanied by the atmospheric singing of the Eppan parish choir, which will give the mass a special musical touch.

On this festive day, the Romanesque castle chapel opens its doors to all interested visitors from 11 am to 4 pm. Visitors will have the opportunity to admire the impressive and unique Romanesque frescoes that adorn the chapel free of charge. These frescoes are not only a valuable work of art, but also a fascinating testimony to times gone by. Expert guides are on hand to answer your questions and give you detailed information about the castle's architectural and artistic history as well as the exceptionally well-preserved frescoes. Immerse yourself in history and let yourself be enchanted by the stories about the medieval works of art.

After the mass, the tavern of the castle with its charming garden invites you to linger. Anni and Lisa will give you a warm welcome and spoil you with a variety of culinary specialties.
