|
About the event
Discover the fascinating mountain world of South Tyrol on our guided day hikes. Fascinating experiences and unforgettable memories await you.
Alpine Pasture Trail in Ratschings/Racines
Departure at 9 am on the hiking bus from Steinegg|Collepietra northwards towards Sterzing|Vipiteno and into the Ratschings|Racines Valley. We take the cable car up to 2,150 m. After a short climb along forest track no. 19A-B, we join the Alpine Pasture Trail in Ratschings/Racines no. 15 for approx. 9 km of gentle ups and downs to the hut Klammalm. A beautiful, secluded yet challenging trail set against a stunning mountain backdrop. After a well-deserved break with traditional alpine fare, we descend first on a slightly steeper slope and then more gently along trail No. 12 to the hamlet of Flading. Following in the footsteps of "Pfeifer Huisele", a folk legend who was particularly notorious for his mischief and pranks in Ratschings|Racines, we then continue along the barefoot trail to the farm Larch Hof (approx. 3 km), where the hiking bus will pick us up. A hike in northern South Tyrol that is not difficult but does require stamina.
Walking time 5 hrs – Ascent 380 m – Descent 700 m – Route length 15 km
