About the event
Discover the fascinating mountain world of South Tyrol on our guided day hikes. Fascinating experiences and unforgettable memories await you.
Salten – A sunny high plateau above Bozen|Bolzano
Departure at 9 am by hiking bus from Steinegg|Collepietra to Jenesien|San Genesio Atesino on the Tschöggelberg|Monzoccolo.
Vast meadows and the orange hues of the larch trees accompany us all day long. The larch meadows are the result of human intervention. The original forest cover was largely cleared to create meadows and pastures. Our destination is St. Jakob|San Giacomo on Langfenn with its simple yet charming St. Jakob’s Church. The name Langfenn comes from Old High German and means ‘long, wide meadow’. After lunch, there is a 10-minute descent to the Schermoos car park, where the hiking bus awaits us.
Walking time 2,5 hrs – Ascent 300 m – Descent 90 m – Route length 7 km
Important information:
-A certain level of basic fitness and sure-footedness are required
-Registration: Required by Tuesday, 4.00 pm at the latest, by telephone on +39 0471 619560 or by email at info@sternendorf.it.
