Pranterstadlhütte
About Pranterstadlhütte
The Pranterstadel Hütte is in a wonderful location in the Altfasstal valley. After a beautiful hike, you will reach the rustic hut at the end of this beautiful valley, where you can relax near a waterfall and enjoy the breath-taking view. Throughout the day you can enjoy traditional South Tyrolean dishes. In addition to dumplings, fried eggs with potatoes and bacon and barley soup, you will also find desserts such as omelette with cranberries and apple strudel.
Opening hours
From mid-May until the end of October
Because of its large, well-kept sunbathing lawn, impressive wooden sculptures, a small petting zoo and a small natural pond with trout the Pranterstadl Hütte is an ideal hiking destination for families. While the adults relax in the sun, the children can play in the playground. For those who prefer to go by bike, there is the option of renting mountain bikes.
The hut is easily accessible from Meransen on a fairly long (approx. 7 km) but flat path that is also accessible to prams and an ideal starting point for a tour to the Seefeld lakes.
