Dolomites Museum Col Raiser
At the mountain station of the Col Raiser cable car there is a small private collection of antique paintings of the Dolomites.
It is impressing that many painters visited our region and the Dolomites at the time when tourism wasn't yet so common.
The purpose of this collection is to bring back to Val Gardena the paintings of the Dolomites, which were spread all around Europe.
Some very important artists were stationed in Val Gardena and in the Dolomites during World War I, this is why many of their artworks have become witnesses of the beauty of the Dolomites and the tragedies caused by the war.
