The church of St. John of Nepomuk in Ranui
The tiny church founded in 1744 by the mine owner, Michael von Jenner, is nestled in extraordinary countryside. The altar paintings by Franz Sebald Unterberger from the Fleim Valley are particullary noteworthy. The church is privately owned and the access is subject to a fee.
However, the church remains closed.
Please do not enter the meadows surrounded by fence.
Approach
Through the Eisacktal/Valle Isarco valley to Klausen/Chiusa; turn into Villnöss/Funes valley and drive to St. Johann - Ranui

Parking slots at the bus stop Ranui or at Ranui (for a fee)
Public transportation
By bus from Klausen/Chiusa or Brixen/Bressanone through Villnöss Valley to the bus stop Ranui (from there 5-min-walk)
However, the church remains closed.
