Waterfall and "Katzenleiter"

An old circulal hiking trail along the torrent "Schwarzenbach" reachs the breathtaking waterfall of Ora. It offers an overwhelming spectacle of nature. The waterfall rushes 120m into depth and gives a wonderful view over the South Tyrolean lowlands even to the lake of Caldaro. Part of the hiking trail is also the so called "Katzenleiter", which is a stone- staircase consisting of 540 steps carved into the rock. If you climb all the stairs upwards, you can reach, after a two-hour hike, the tavern Brückenwirt in the village Montan.
