About Cable Car and Chairlift Vellau

If it´s your lucky day you may see some deers or badgers running around. The valley station is located right outside of Algund going towards Plars.
Chairlift and gondola basket lift Vellau

The ride with the single chairlift from Plars to Vellau is a dreamlike experience of nature. Slowly, you travel up through vineyards and forests from Algund to Vellau.

From there, the nostalgic gondola basket lift brings you to the Leiter Alm mountain pasture - situated on the Merano High Mountain Trail - at an altitude of 1,550 metres.



Parking
There is a parking lot at the valley station.
