The municipal office handles a variety of tasks related to construction projects, general administrative matters, registration services, and the issuance of certificates (e.g., birth or marriage certificates). Additionally, the office serves as a personal point of contact for citizens regarding various concerns.
The current municipal office used to be the oldest administrative building, known as the "Factor House," named after the "Factor," the chief administrator of the mine. Today, it functions as the town hall, as the Stone House has housed the municipal administration since the late 1920s.
