About water pavillon
Water has been regarded as a heavenly blessing by all peoples, cultures, and religions. Since the fertile and destructive power of water originates at the source, people sought the power there to pray, ask for favors, or appease the gods. The newly built drinking pavilion in the Kneipp facility in the spa gardens, which is fed by the most famous healing spring in our community, the one in Bad Maistatt, could also become such a magnet. The water is oligomineral and is said to help with digestive disorders, metabolic disorders, respiratory problems, hysterical conditions, and abdominal complaints. According to the oldest medical treatise from 1675, the water is said to contain saltpetre, vitriol, and a “gold-coated” substance. The water contains only a very small amount of minerals. As the flow rate is very low, the fountain is also fed by springs that have been used in the facility for years. At one fountain outlet, the water flows over rock crystals from the Puster Valley, which significantly enhances the vitality of the water.
