On top of Windspitz peak the gaze wanders over the mighty Ifinger/Mount Ivigna, whose silhouette seems tangible here.
From Mittager/Mount Cantino you get an awe-inspiring panoramic view which reach as far as the most dramatic summits in the Dolomites as well as the Ortler/Ortles and Texelgruppe/Tessa Group.
The hike requires a good physical condition.

Getting to the valley station of the Merano 2000 ropeway:On the SS38 (MEBO) highway, take the exit Sinich/Sinigo/ Meran Süd/Merano Sud. From there or from anywhere in the city centre, follow the signs to Hafling/Avelengo. At the junction towards Schenna/Scena, continue straight ahead towards Hafling/Avelengo and turn right onto the ropeway car park at Naif/Val di Nova after about 1 km.Getting to the gondola lift at Falzeben:Follow the directions for the ropeway valley station but do not enter the car park at Naif/Val di Nova: Instead, go past the ropeway valley station and continue driving towards Hafling/Avelengo. After several tunnels, turn left at the petrol station and follow the signs to Merano 2000/Falzeben. The road winds uphill for a few kilometres, all the way to the Falzeben car park and the valley station of the gondola lift.
