  From Chiusa (523m) follow the signs of “Sabiona/Säben”, from Hauptgasse main alley to the entrance to Sabiona, then on the right climb the Medieval stone steps to Branzoll Castle and the paved Stations of the Cross route ascending moderately to the Liebfrauenkirche church and the Gnadenkapelle chapel till the Monastery Sabiona and left to the Heiligkreuzkirche church and the highest point of the rock (729m). Descent: Descend from the church over the bridge to the entrance of the monastery, there walk down on the right, initially in the rock tunnel northward on the paved path to the saddle between the rock of Sabiona and the Leitacher Berg mountain. Walk along the flat route at the saddle (681m), take the fork (signposts  Chiusa) descending on the right through the forest and downwards along the winding Säbener Promenade trail, a pleasant stroll taking you almost above Staatsstraße street, then from there ascend to Branzoll Castle and via the entrance to the staircase and up to Chiusa.
