  From the church in S. Pietro (1,150m) follow the old footpath no. 5 to shorten the hike along the paved road. The path leading through the fields ascends rather steeply, passing a group of houses and the villages of Roncaccio and Vikol, and on to the wooded Vikoler Jöchl ridge (1,410m). Path no. 30 branches off to the left near the ridge, leading uphill to the west through the forest, reaching the Wolfsgrube pit (1,535m) on a flat plateau of the ridge. For the return route, follow path no. 30 further to the west. After about 800 meters, path no. 3 branches off to the left and returns via  Fisneid farm back to S. Pietro.
