Start
tourist office in Villanders/Villandro
Starting at the tourist office in Villanders/Villandro (880 m) follow trail no. 3/A through a picturesque alley along the Keschtnweg Chestnut Trail past the Church of St. Stephan, northeast on the outskirts of the village. The flat path leads to a fork in the road from where the trail bears left and up to hamlet of Gravetsch (952 m). From there, two hiking trails (no. 3 and 3/B) wind their way up through the wooded ridge before arriving at the clearing where the Church of St. Anna is located (1,134 m). Also known as the miner’s chapel, the church lies in proximity to the entrance of the silver mine in Villanders on the northern flank of the Pfunderer mountain.
Return on trail no. 3/B and, after crossing the Fragerbach brook in the forest, follow trail no. 3. Continue for a stretch and then take the field track above Villanders. From the pasture, take the flight of stairs down to the church and cemetery (worth a visit) and back to the starting point. -
