From Vipiteno|Sterzing to Prati|Wiesen via Bachdammweg Trail - Description

The Bachdammweg dam trail leads from Vipiteno southwards, along Eisackufer-Promenade with views of Sprechenstein Castle. At the mouth of the Pfitscher Bach stream in the Eisack river, the walk leads northwards to the community park in Prati. There you will find a Kneipp installation, a mini-golf course and an extensive and shaded children’s play park, with the Wiesenhof horse riding center also close by. This walk is suitable for strollers.

    Stadtplatz Sterzing|Vipiteno

    From the old town in Vipiteno (948m) the walk leads eastwards in the direction of the railway station to Eisack river. Follow the Bachdammweg (trail along the stream banks) orographically left, about 1.5 km along the bank, towards the south to the mouth of the Pfitscher Bach stream. There the Pfitscher Bachuferweg trail leads orographically right, upstream along the sttream to Prati (948m) and along to the aforementioned community park. For the return journey follow the cycle path, which runs parallel to Pfitscher Talstraße valley street and which leads through the railway underpass to meet the Bachdammweg and then continues to the starting point.
