Hike around the Plattkofel and Langkofel - Description

A breathtaking high-altitude trail leads around the imposing Langkofel group with the Langkofel peak and the Plattkofel. Given the length of this route a good level of fitness is required, but the route around the Plattkofel and the Langkofel is not particularly steep. Your efforts will be amply rewarded with the beautiful views of the Langkofel group and the breathtaking view of the neighbouring valleys of Val Gardena and Val di Fassa.

The hike begins at the mountain station of the Florian lift. We recommend taking the Seiser Alm cable car to Compatsch and, from there, taking the Almbus to Saltria followed by the Florian lift. The road to the landscape conservation area Seiser Alm is closed to private traffic from 9.00am to 5.00pm. During this time you can get to the Seiser Alm by the Seiser Alm cable car from Seis or by bus from Kastelruth. You can descend from Compatsch at any time.
