  Parking lot Zumis (1,725 m)
  
  Start at the Zumis parking lot (1,749m; bus service from Rodengo or Luson) and follow the road through the mountain pasture for a short way. Turn left at the signpost on to trail no. 4 and ascend up the Confinweg trail. Take the forest road up a gentle incline, across the flat meadows before arriving at the Ronerhütte inn (1,832m; refreshments served). Follow trail no. 2 east and then head uphill, to arrive at the magnificent Pianer Kreuz chapel (1,901m). Follow the road east past some breath-taking pastures to the Starkenfeldhütte hut (1,936m; refreshments served). The Rastnerhütte mountain hut (1,931m) to the left is just a short way away and over the hill there is also the Astalm pasture (1,954m). Continuing along trail no. 2, there is a steeper stretch of road before reaching the forest edge. Follow a gravel path across the pasture to reach the summit of the Astjoch (2,194m). Descending south, follow the field road on trail no. 12 down to the Kreuzwiesenhütte hut (1,924m; refreshments served). The return is on trail no. 2A, westwards across the meadows and through a sparse larch forest, across some mountain pastures. At the Starkenfeldhütte, take the same route to return to the Zumis parking lot.
