Malga Costa - Description
Directions
-
Start
Passo Lavazè
The first section (up to km 2) is the same as Campiol's track, a further 2 km is the same as Torbiera's track. After 4 km, turn right following the signs for Malga Costa and enter the conifers forest again, descending to a sunny meadow from where you can already see the mountain hut (refreshment point).
A slight climb takes you to the top of the hill where the view sweeps over Latemar, Catinaccio, Corno Nero and Corno Bianco. Then you return to the woods where the last uphill stretch begins. At first you reconnect with the Torbiera track, then with a rather important final stretch, you reconquer the Lavazè plateau. The last few kilometers on the Campiol track allow you to relax and catch your breath. -
end point
Passo Lavazè
required equipment
