Stage 4A Dolomiti Trek King - At the feet of the Sassolungo Massif - Description

Stage 4A from Sandro Pertini Refuge to Antermoia Refuge. 6-day self guided hiking tour at high altitude, from refuge to refuge. Discover the Dolomites in Val di Fassa by walking on its most beautiful peaks!
From the Sandro Pertini Refuge walk along path no. 557-4, also known as "Friedrich August Weg". The trail follows an easy, relatively even path at the feet of the Grohmann and Innerkofler peaks, the Dente del Sassolungo and the Sasso Piatto, then it leads onto the wide grassy saddle of the "Giogo di Fassa", with the Sasso Piatto Refuge. From here, the trail (no. 594-4) continues along the Siusi crest, then down the slope of the Val Duron to the namesake pass. Some saddles along the way give the chance to enjoy superb views on the opposite slope too, towards the Alpe di Siusi and the Odle. From the Duron Pass, the trail no. 532 descends into the Val Duron and then turns right on path no. 555, which leads to the "Ciaréjoles" Pass. Short after the pass, the path joins trail no. 580, which ascends to the right along steep curves towards the Dona Pass and flanks the southern slope of the "Cima di Dona" to reach the Antermoia Refuge.
