  Parking lot Altfasstal (1,602 m)
  
  From the fee-paying parking lot in the forest above Maranza, at the entrance to the Altfasstal Valley (1,602m) follow the wide valley trail for 100 meters until the fork in the road. Here, inclining right, begins “Widerschwinge Weg” trail as trail no. 16A (indications). Widerschwinge Weg trail leads northward through a high forest on the steep, right slope, in the direction of the valley, to the edge of the forest. After a longer, even stretch, trail no.16B leads straight on in bends, at the beginning still wide, then at times more narrow, in the direction of the valley, to the highest point (1,988m), where you cross a bridge and then descend using footpath no. 16B to the Pranter Stadelhütte (1,833m) and Wieserhütte mountain huts (1,850m). The return route to the parking lot is on the comfortable forest path no. 15.
