From the Maria Trens pilgrimage site (937m) follow the dirt road no. 2A to the southeast to the hamlet of Valgenauna (1,053m), with its distinctive Valentinskirche church on the hill. Route no. 2A leads from there along mostly paved roads, around a pair of ridges to a grassy area near the hamlet of Flanes di Sotto (1,289m). From there follow trail no. 3A down the eastern side and past a farmstead towards the Senge Bach ditch (1,090m).
