The famous little church in St. Kathrein/Santa Caterina is situated on a rise in Hafling/Avelengo and can be seen from far away in Meran and Environs. The Romanesque church has its origins in the 13th century and features well-preserved frescos from the 14th century. Fantastic views of the city of Meran/Merano as well as the Texelgruppe range can be enjoyed from the church.
