This challenging loop around the Langkofel range,  the ridge-hike on the Schneid and travers of the Steinernen Stadt (“City of Stones“) and the ever-changing views into the distance and depths of the surrounding Dolomites make this high-altitude hike one of the undisputed highlights of the Seiser Alm. At 31 km, it is suitable only for fit walkers with a sure foot. If you would prefer an easier alternative to this tour, we recommend the “Hike around the Plattkofel and Langkofel” tour.

During this time you can get to the Seiser Alm by the Seiser Alm cable car from Seis or by bus from Kastelruth. You can descend from Compatsch at any time.
