When the sun barely comes out for two months in the village of Ferrara/ Schmieden and hides behind the vast mountain massif of the Sasso del Signore Mountain/ Herrenstein, the farms just above the village enjoy the bright sunshine. Enjoy the extended view of the Braies Valley during a hike along the sunny side of the village. Starting in Ferrara/ Schmieden or S. Vito/ St. Veit you follow the road leading to the highest farms in the village. The Moserhof guesthouse awaits you - warm up in the cosy rooms and taste some regional specialities. Starting point: Ferrara/ Schmieden (1,222 m) or San Vito/ St. Veit (1,340 m) Highest point: Moserhof (1,435 m)
