Our family consists of five people. However, being convinced that meeting people from different cultures and mentalities is mutually enriching, we often welcome - especially in summer - volunteers from various countries who come to help us. The help of these people is invaluable to us. Not least because our farm is situated at an altitude of 1200 m on very steep slopes, so most of the work has to be done by hand. At a time when monoculture conditions farming, we instead continue to cultivate various cereals (rye, barley, wheat), potatoes, poppy and other vegetables that grow in our area using traditional methods. The day is punctuated by some essential activities: that of sacristan and bell-ringer, which has been practised by our family for generations, and the rearing of cows, pigs, chickens and turkeys. Our farm is located in a very sunny position, with a wonderful view of the Putia rock and the Marebbe valley.
