Bockerhütte
The Bockerhütte is located at 1,700 m above sea level, in the heart of the wild and romantic Sopranes Valley in the Tessa Mountain Range Nature Park. The Bockerhütte is a popular place to stop for refreshments for hikers heading to the lakes of Sopranes, or taking the circular hikes from Tirolo or Caines . It is also an old inn providing accommodation for those on longer expeditions. Three bedrooms and a classic dormitory under the roof await the tired hikers but not before they have had a chance to sample some or our delicious home-made specialities.
From the middle of April to the beginning of November the Schnitzer family extend a warm welcome to their guests, offering the typical dishes of South Tyrolean cooking, such as platters of hearty snacks accompanied by South Tyrolean wines, home-made fruit juices, and refreshing beers, and served on a panoramic roof terrace. There are many other delicious dishes that will entice you to extend your stay at the Rifugio Bockerhütte: home-produced cheese with herbs, home-made sausages and speck, roast lamb and mutton, an excellent goulash and, of course, our irresistible knodel. To top it all off we have natural yoghurt with fresh fruits, a slice of apple strudel or home-made cake. Let yourself be spoilt by the delights of the Rifugio Bockerhütte, a true mountain pleasure.
Selection of the menu
- Platter of mixed home made South Tyrolean specialties (Bacon, dry smoked sausages)
- Bacon, cheese or liver dumplings
- Home made natural yoghurt
- Roast lamb ("Schöpsernes")
- Home made cake
- “Kaiserschmarren“
