Parkhotel Laurin
The first hotel in Bolzano since 1910. In the very heart of town, just a few steps from the railway station and with direct access to the town’s pedestrian area. The town’s cathedral is also nearby. The Parkhotel Laurin was built by Maximilian Staffler in the years 1909-1910, designed by the architect bothers Ludwig. The hotel was completely renovated to designs between 1990 and 1998. The hotel is still privately owned by the Staffler family. 100 rooms including 8 singles and 7 suites decorated in various styles. Furnishings are made from the choicest materials and pieces of antique furniture are found throughout the hotel. All rooms are equipped with air conditioning, interactive LCD TV system with Sat-TV and radio, free Wi-Fi, digital lighting system, telephone, personal safe, minibar, tea corner, umbrella. The marble bathrooms feature hairdryer, bathrobe, bath slippers and high quality body care products. The Restaurant Laurin is accommodated in an impressive art nouveau salon still in its original state. The finest dishes from the Italian and regional culinary traditions are on offer and the wine list includes a wide variety of superb local and Italian vinous delights. The Laurin Bar is Bolzano/Bozen’s favourite stylish evening venue with unique murals painted in 1911 by Bruno Goldschmidt. They portray the legend of King Laurin and lend the bar its distinctive style. It's nice here to enjoy a cappuccino in the morning, an aperitiv after work or a drink in the evening. Not to be missed: Apertiivo Lungo on Thursdays and Live concerts on Fridays (October-May). The hotel sits amid a historically landscaped park measuring 4,000 square meters. It is characterized by lush vegetation, a number of century-old trees provides shade and the park is embellished with numerous works by famous artists and plenty of benches to relax on. The hotel’s outdoor heated swimming pool is surrounded by sun loungers. A further attraction in the park is the stylish Summer Lounge Bar. Refreshing cocktails, cool drinks and quick meals guarantee a tasty break amidst the green. As well as the Park Restaurant, opened from May to October (depending on the weather conditions). The hotel offers a sumptuously equipped conference centre on the first floor with simultaneous interpreting and video-conferencing systems accommodating up to 200 persons.
