Ütia de Börz
The Ütia de Börz mountain hut boasts a solitary and scenic location right at the top of Passo delle Erbe, at 2,006 m above sea level. The hotel sits at the entrance of the Puez-Odle Nature Park, at the foot of the imposing Sass de Putia (lad. Sas de Pütia, 2,875 m a.s.l.).
Passo delle Erbe is well-renowned among the lovers of outdoor and sporting activities in South Tyrol and the Dolomites, not just thanks to the breathtaking natural environment surrounding it, but also because of its accessibility. The Börz area is easily reachable by car or bicycle from Val Badia (all year round) or from Valle Isarco / Eisacktal (only from mid-spring to late autumn), via Bressanone / Brixen, Funes / Villnöß or Luson / Lüsen.
The Ütia de Börz mountain hut is the perfect starting point for a wide selection of walking, hiking and trekking trails, as well as mountain bike routes, of various difficulty levels, to be tackled alone or with friends - or with your family. The area is also well known among mountain climbing lovers for the challenging climbing routes of the Sass de Putia. Winter is a season for experiencing cross country skiing and sledding on dedicated trails, as well as snow-shoe excursions, while a soft blanket of snow covers the silent woods and meadows.
