Book presentation "Wilde Jahre. Tourismus in Südtirol 1961-1983" (german)

In autumn 2025, the book on the research project was published, written by Paul Rösch and Patrick Rina, with contributions by Hans Heiss and Adina Guarnieri. The book is titled „Wild Years. Tourism in South Tyrol“. The two authors interviewed around 90 eyewitnesses from across the region and collected historical photos and brochures from almost all districts of South Tyrol. The result is an essay on the tourism-driven economic miracle and its downsides – featuring many personal memories, anecdotes, and previously hardly shown images.

On Friday, June 5, 2026, at 8:00 PM, the authors will present the book at the library in Sand in Taufers, including local eyewitnesses (participants: Paul Rösch, Patrick Rina, Ingrid Beikircher, Hans Berger, Gottfried Strauß).
