About Puster Valley and Kronplatz

Explore the unique flora and fauna of the Puez-Geisler, Fanes-Sennes-Prags, Drei Zinnen or Rieserferner-Ahrn nature reserves on exciting tours.

The "Green Valley", as the Pustertal is also called, has a lot to offer. From the Mühlbacher Klause the valley stretches across gentle meadows and forests in an easterly direction to Lienz in East Tyrol. From Vintl branches off to the north of the natural Pfunderer valley. Scattered hamlets and farms are surrounded by a rugged, unspoiled nature. Behind it rise mightily the peaks of the wild Pfunderer mountains.

In gentle serpentines you can follow Vintl via Terenten, Issing and Pfalzen the sunny road over a sunny plateau to Bruneck and enjoy the wonderful view of the Dolomites. Starting from the center of Terento, the mill trail leads to several restored mills. The path leads directly past the sharp cones of the earth pyramids.
Countless walking and hiking trails in the Puster Valley lead through magnificent alpine meadows and forests up into the legendary mountains of the Dolomites. Enchanting mountain lakes such as the Antholzer Lake or the famous Lake Braies - the "Pearl of the Dolomites" - but also the Plätzwiese are ideal destinations for families and nature lovers. On numerous demanding tours you can hike the unique natural landscapes of this region and marvel at the unique flora and fauna of the Puez-Geisler, Fanes-Sennes-Prags, Drei Zinnen or Rieserferner-Ahrn nature parks. The Alta Pusteria is especially known for the rugged rocky peaks of the Sesto Dolomites, including those of the Sextner Rotwand or the Drei Zinnen.

The Val Pusteria is also extremely popular in winter and offers numerous leisure activities for the whole family. On adventurous ski tours, for example, you can roam through snow-covered landscapes or spend an eventful day on the ski slopes of Plan de Corones, Bruneck's local mountain. Various toboggan runs are fun for the whole family. In addition, the Puster Valley is a true paradise for cross-country skiers.
