About the event
Ceramics Workshop at Castel Roncolo: “From Wall to Artifact”
Instructor: Stefania Titton, Ceramicist and Archaeologist
Saturday, March 28 – Decoration
The already fired pieces will be decorated with slips (clay-based colors), inspired by the castle’s frescoes. These depict scenes of medieval courtly life, legends, chivalric poems, and various decorative motifs.
Reproducing some of Castel Roncolo’s wall artworks allows participants to observe the frescoes more closely, noticing geometric and morphological details that might be missed at first glance.
By creating their own vase, participants will form a more vivid memory of the frescoes.
Price: €50, materials and firing included
